Those of you who live in cities and urban areas very likely don't have access to a traditional sauna. I'm talking about the Finnish saunas that are heated by burning wood and hot rocks with an ice cold lake right outside to jump into. The heat and steam from a traditional sauna has been used for hundreds of years both to cleanse the skin and the body from toxins as well as help with relaxation and stress relief. Even if you can't get into a traditional sauna there's now an alternative that works just as well if not better.

Infrared saunas are a great alternative to the traditional saunas that are so good for your health. They are especially good for those with limited space like those who live in apartments and condos. Infrared saunas come in all sizes, even the smaller personal saunas and 2 person saunas. And infrared heat is just like the warmth of the sun without the dangers of the UV radiation present in the suns rays.

FAR infrared technology is considered the best type of infrared to use because these waves are the best type for out bodies. The FAR infrared waves penetrate deep into the tissues of our bodies, and remove toxins that can be damaging. Research has shown FAR infrared waves to be beneficial to the health and well being of people. Not only will they help to remove toxins, but they will also help to relieve stress and even to improve cardiovascular health.

If you're considering buying an infrared sauna you should know that it doesn't have to be expensive. And installing a personal sauna or 2 person sauna is quite easy. Many of the sauna manufactures have prefabricated saunas or sauna kits that can be assembled in a very short time with common tools. You can have your sauna delivered and be enjoying it the very same day.

Infrared saunas can use one of two types of panels, ceramic panels and carbon fiber panels. Ceramic tiles are less durable than carbon panels and will also take longer to heat the sauna to full temperature, but since they are less expensive they are also the most common type of infrared sauna heating panels available. Most ceramic saunas take about 30-60 minutes to heat fully.

An infrared sauna will cost anywhere from $500 to $5000 depending on the features and accessories you choose. One other benefit of infrared saunas is that most of them work from a regular household electric outlet so there is no need for special electrical wiring. Infrared saunas can weigh up to 600 pounds, but the smaller 2 person saunas and personal saunas weight under 200 pounds making it easy to find a place to install them.

An infrared sauna is a great way to improve your health and improve the value of your home. If you don't have access to a traditional sauna, but want to experience the benefits of sauna cleansing and stress relief then an infrared sauna is the way to go.
